May 2018 was a significant month for the Pop family. In addition to carrying out all of his duties and responsibilities as the Director of CHOICE Guatemala, Olger has been 'moonlighting' as a student at the University of Rafael Landivar. Olger has worked diligently for two years and now he has received his Master of Science Degree from the Faculty of Environmental and Agricultural Sciences in Tropical Agroforestry at the Campus of La Verapaz. CHOICE Humanitarian is extremely proud of Olger's accomplishment and would like to share his achievement widely.
"As you can imagine, this was not easy. There were many sacrifices along the way," said Olger. As expected, he could not be happier though and spent the day and evening in celebration with his family.
True to the saying, "There is no rest for the weary' Olger and his wife Hortencia, who is also the administrator at CHOICE Guatemala, immediately left for Guatemala City to greet the expedition team and CHOICE Co-Founder, Dr. Mayfield for an
expedition and staff training. The expedition will be comprised of students from the distinguished College of William and Mary from Williamsburg, Virginia who will travel to Sikaab'e to build a suspension bridge in a small community of 170 people. The village is named Tzuncoc - and is within the municipality of Cahabon, Guatemala. This project is being funded by the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation
Please join CHOICE in congratulating Olger for this remarkable achievement!
