ASEA ECUADOR EXPEDITION – July 13 - 21, 2018

The charming nation of Ecuador is located in northwestern South America along the Pacific Ocean. CHOICE expeditions focus on the indigenous communities of the temperate Imbabura Province up north, amidst lush hillsides, volcanoes, and endless fields of quinoa.

Fees

Expedition

$2195 (International Airfare NOT Included) with initial $300 deposit due upon registration. 

ASEA Contribution: $700 / Participant Balance: $1495 (includes $300 deposit)

*rates include hotel accommodations, certified group leaders, village lodging, village meals, and local transportation.

Galapagos Tour (Optional)

Price is contingent on final group size. Initial non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to confirm spot. Deadline for Galapagos registration is May 1, 2018. Final price will be determined at that time. Price includes all require hotel accommodations, including the initial July 8th night in Quito. Flight Requirements

Expedition Only

*Friday, July 13: Arrive at Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre (UIO) this evening. Typical flights arrive at 11pm/12am (the earlier the better)

*Saturday, July 21: Depart from Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre (UIO) at your preference. Typical departures are at 5am or 11pm/12am. Later departure will allow for additional touring in Quito on Saturday. 

Expedition + Galapagos Tour

USA-Quito

*Sunday, July 8: Arrive at Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre (UIO) this evening. Typical flights arrive at 11pm/12am (the earlier the better)

Quito - Santa Cruz

*Monday, July 9: Depart from Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre (UIO) in AM group flight to Santa Cruz (GPS) (Coordinated with CHOICE). 

Santa Cruz - Quito

*Friday, July 13: Depart from Santa Cruz (GPS) in the afternoon and arrive at Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre (UIO) in the evening. 
Quito to USA

*Saturday, July 21: Depart from Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre (UIO) at your preference. Typical departures are at 5am or 11pm/12am. Later departure will allow for additional touring in Quito on Saturday. 

 

Be sure to check/purchase international flights as soon as possible. It is strongly recommended that all travelers arrive on the designated expedition start date and reserve personal travel for after scheduled activities.

  • Secure Travel/Evacuation Insurance - Send in a copy and confirmation. You will find info regarding this on page 9-10 of the expedition manual
