Policy Governance Board

The management structure at CHOICE Humanitarian is patterned after a very successful governance model among non-profit organizations both in the United States and internationally. Under this model, the governance responsibility rests on a small, actively involved Policy Governance Board. The CHOICE Policy Governance Board works together to uphold the mission of CHOICE in everything that is done within the organization. Working in conjunction with the Policy Governance Board is the Leadership Council. The council is responsible for the oversite of the project areas. It is comprised of the chairmen of the country committees, the CEO and the Chairman of the Policy Governance Board. The council meets monthly to discuss issues related to the work being done in the field centers. They are also responsible for the allocation of project money donated at the gala. Any plans for expansion into new project areas or the selection of country chairman is discussed by the Leadership Council and recommendations are made to the Policy Governance Board for their approval.

Since the inception of CHOICE, many talented and dedicated individuals have served as members of the Board of Directors and other management capacities. These individuals have made a tremendous contribution and are responsible for helping CHOICE to grow into the organization it is today.

The Policy Governance Board carries on the tradition of dedication to humanitarian work that has been established by those who have served before them. They are dedicated to helping CHOICE grow to new levels of success. They believe as CHOICE develops its capacity to expand into new project areas and is able to provide new opportunities, many more people who live in challenging circumstances will be given alternatives to a life of poverty.
